U.S. 231/331 trailblazers posted just beyond the exchange joining I-65/U.S. 80-82 with South Boulevard. U.S. 231 enters Eastern Boulevard where U.S. 82 leaves South Boulevard, six miles to the east. 10/06/12
U.S. 331 used to continue northward to Downtown and the state capitol complex. It was truncated to South Boulevard when all non-Interstate highways in Montgomery were rerouted in the 1980s. 10/10/99

U.S. 331 travels south from Court Street and Montgomery to become a four lane divided highway en route to Sprague and Ada. The route doubles as SR 9 to Luverne, Brantley, Opp and Florala. 10/06/12
Court Street continues north from U.S. 331 to Fairview Avenue, where the street becomes one way in the southbound direction. U.S. 331 originally followed Norman Bridge Road north from Wiley to cross South Boulevard at the succeeding traffic light. North of Woodmere Boulevard, U.S. 80 east & U.S. 231-SR 21 (Eastern Boulevard) north approach the directional cloverleaf interchange with Interstate 85. A congested roadway, Eastern Boulevard both north and south of I-85 includes service roads lined with numerous shopping centers and traveler services. 12/07/99
U.S. 80 East
U.S. 80 leaves the overlap with I-85 established in 2011 at Waugh and rejoins its original alignment east to Shorter. SR 126 was extended west over the former alignment of U.S. 80 alongside I-85 to Mt. Meigs and Exit 11. The state route constitutes a full loop. 12/03/11
