SR 120 formerly continued southeast from SR 316 along Pike Street to Crogan Street, the original route of U.S. 29 north into Downtown Lawrenceville.

SR 120 remained posted along the exit ramp taking U.S. 29/SR 8 south off SR 316 as of January 2022. U.S. 29/SR 8 overtake Lawrenceville-Suwannee Road south along a controlled access arterial bypassing Lawrenceville to the west.
