Angling northeast from the Bedford town center, NH 101 approaches both the south end of NH 114 and the freeway leading east to south Manchester. 07/30/07

The turnpike is unnumbered from I-293 south to Exit 7 in Nashua, where U.S. 3 joins a free portion of the route around Nashua. Interstate 293 south merges onto the left side of NH 101 east opposite its loop ramp for I-293 (F.E. Everett Turnpike) north to Downtown Manchester. The control point for I-293 shifts from Salem to Boston here. 10/06/14

Interstate 93 north expands to five overall lanes to the split diamond interchange (Exit 6) with Candia Road and Hanover Street. NH 101 splits with I-93 beyond Hanover Street at a tri-level stack interchange (Exit 7). 10/06/14

Candia Road stems east from NH 28A (Mammoth Road) as a residential through street to Exit 6. Hanover Street branches west from the road to East Side Plaza shopping center and the Manchester street grid to Downtown. 10/06/14
NH 101 departs next for Massabesic Lake, Exeter and Hampton. The state route used to end in Portsmouth, but was realigned over NH 51 when the freeway east to the Seacoast was completed. 10/06/14
The Hanover Street on-ramp defaults onto NH 101 as it leads away from I-93 north. The freeway meets I-95 (Blue Star Turnpike) in 31 miles and U.S. 1 at Hampton in 33 miles. 10/06/14
