Interstate 475 passes beneath Columbus Road one half mile ahead of U.S. 80/SR 22 (Eisenhower Parkway). Columbus Road represents the pre 1972 alignment of U.S. 80/SR 22. A commercial arterial, Eisenhower Parkway heads east to Macon Mall, Central Georgia Technical College and Broadway (U.S. 129) south of Downtown. 09/11/20
U.S. 80 joins Macon with Roberta and Columbus to the west as part of a 272.32 mile cross state route beginning at Tybee Island on the Atlantic Ocean. SR 22 accompanies U.S. 80 between Columbus and Macon, leaving with U.S. 129 northeast to Gray. 09/11/20
Interstate 475 advances south between a residential area in southwest Macon and wetlands associated with Tobesofkee Creek. 08/07/13
Construction between 2006 and 2009 added a distributor roadway from both I-75 at Exit 155 and I-475 at Exit 1 south to the exchange with Hartley Bridge Road. 09/11/20
Hartley Bridge Road stems 2.87 miles west from Houston Road to Skipperton and a parclo interchange (Exit 1) with Interstate 75. Hartley Bridge Road was a part of SR 361, from Mt. Pleasant Church Road east to Houston Road (old SR 11), until 1982. 09/11/20
Exit 1 separates from I-475 south beyond milepost zero for Hartley Bridge Road. Hartley Bridge Road was expanded to an arterial at I-75 to accommodate commercial development, including adjacent I-75 Business Park. 09/11/20
Interstate 475 converges with I-75 south at a wye interchange beyond Tobesofkee Creek. 09/11/20
