Serving the city of Worcester, Interstate 290 constitutes a 20.02 mile long loop north from I-90 (Mass Pike) and I-395 in the town of Auburn to I-495 and the Route 85 Connector in the town of Marlborough. I-290, along with I-395, forms part a seamless route south from Worcester to I-95 at East Lyme, Connecticut.
