Interstate 93 F.E. Everett Turnpike South
Interstate 93 stays west of the Merrimack River through the town of Bow. Several long straight aways line this stretch of the six lane Everett Turnpike. 10/06/14

Exit 11 leaves Interstate 93 south just ahead of the toll plaza. Motorists taking this ramp enter the Hooksett Ramp Toll Plaza, where a discounted toll is charged. Hacket Hill Road winds east to NH 3A at the river and south and west to NH 3A in north Manchester. 10/06/14
The two E-ZPass (ORT) lanes continue through the toll plaza with 65 MPH speed limits. 10/06/14
An APL follows the merge of the ORT lanes and cash lanes for the impending split of Interstate 93 from the F.E. Everett Turnpike. Interstate 293 doubles as the Everett Turnpike south to Downtown Manchester and Bedford. 10/06/14
Interstate 93 angles southeast from the unnumbered interchange with I-293 to meet NH 101 in east Manchester. NH 101 comprises a full freeway east to I-95 (Blue Star Turnpike) near Hampton and the Seacoast. 10/06/14

Exit 10 loops away from Interstate 93 to NH 3A (West River Road). A number of big box retail stores and Bass Pro Shops line the state route within the immediate vicinity. NH 3A otherwise runs south along the Merrimack River to merge with I-293 into Manchester. 06/27/05

Motorists briefly enter a corner of Manchester city and Hillsborough County by the campus of Southern New Hampshire University over the next mile. 06/27/05
A cloverleaf interchange (Exit 9) joins Interstate 93 with U.S. 3 & NH 28 (Hooksett Road), 0.75 miles south of the River Road overpass. 06/27/05
Forthcoming Exit 9S is the first of three southbound off-ramps serving the city of Manchester. U.S. 3 south to Elm Street leads drivers to Downtown and the Verizon Wireless Arena, a sports and entertainment venue. 06/27/05
U.S. 3 & NH 28 overlap south from Exit 9S by Livingston Park to split at the couplet of Beech and Maple Streets. NH 28 stays east of Downtown while U.S. 3 bisects the central business district to Queen City Avenue.

Heading north from Exit 9N, U.S. 3 & NH 28 share pavement for another 8.8 miles back through Hooksett to a split at Suncook. 06/27/05
NH 28A branches away from U.S. 3 & NH 28A in South Hooksett to cross over Interstate 93, 0.75 miles north of Exit 8 with Wellington Road east / Bridge Street west. 06/27/05
Bridge Street extends west from Wellington Road to intersect NH 28A (Mammoth Road) nearby en route to the East End neighborhood of Manchester. Beyond the folded diamond interchange is left Exit 7 for NH 101 east. 08/29/13
Angling southeast across Stevens Pond, Interstate 93 reaches the tri-level stack interchange (Exit 7) with NH 101 east in one quarter mile. NH 101 constitutes a full freeway east to Exeter and Hampton. 08/29/13
Two lanes depart the left side of Interstate 93 south for NH 101 east. The state route extends 35.7 miles from Exit 7 to NH 1A on the Seacoast.

Exit 6 leaves Interstate 93 south just ahead of the on-ramp from NH 101 west. A split diamond interchange joins the freeway with Hanover Street and Candia Road through residential areas of east Manchester and the East Industrial Park Drive area. 06/27/05

Interstate 293 north & NH 101 venture west 3.3 miles to Bedford and the F.E. Everett Turnpike. NH 101 spurs west from there as a freeway to NH 104 and the southwesterly turn to Milford. 06/27/05

Interstate 93 South
Interstate 93 travels solo for the remaining 18 miles to the Massachusetts state line. 10/06/14
Travelers along I-93 cross into Rockingham County and the town of Londonberry over the next three miles. Boston is now 49 miles away. 10/06/14
NH 28 (Rockingham Road) heads south from Manchester to North Londonberry and junction NH 128 (Mammoth Road) and an easterly turn toward Interstate 93 at Exit 5. 10/06/14
Freeway widening from Manchester south to the state line kicked off in 2006 as part of the Rebuilding I93 project. Work running through 2019 involves redesigning several interchanges and expansion of Interstate 93 to eight overall lanes. Traveling nearly 23 miles in length, NH 102 ventures south from Exit 4 to NH 3A & 111 at Hudson and northeast to NH 107 in Raymond. 10/06/14
Interstate 93 south reaches the off-ramp (Exit 4) for NH 102 (Nashua Road). The state route leaves the town of Londonberry for Broadway through Derry just to the east. Connections with NH 111 west across the Merrimack River lead motorists into Downtown Nashua. 10/06/14
A loop ramp formerly departed I-93 south by this shield assembly for NH 102 at West Derry. It was removed to offset weaving traffic concerns at the Nashua Road overpass. 10/06/14

Previously a folded diamond interchange, the Rebuilding I93 project redesigned forthcoming Exit 3 into a diamond interchange. Work also included realigning NH 111 (Indian Rock Road) northward from I-93 west to Wall Street. The state route meets the freeway by Cobbetts Pond. 10/06/14
A wide median separates the roadways of Interstate 93 by the weigh stations. 10/06/14
NH 111 forms a 77.7 mile long multi state route with Massachusetts 111 southwest to Pepperall and Concord, MA and east to North Hampton on the Seacoast. Locally the route joins Exit 3 with the Windham town center, West Windham and Hudson to the west. 10/06/14
Exit 3 departs well ahead of NH 111 (Indian Rock Road) from I-93 south. The state route ventures northeast by Canobie Lake to intersect NH 28 (Broadway) en route to North Salem. 10/06/14
A new northbound roadway for Interstate 93 was constructed adjacent to the southbound lanes from NH 111 southeast to Canobie Lake. The northbound lanes previously swung up to a third of a mile to the east. Rebuilding I93 included the removal of that roadway. 10/06/14
NH 111A (Range Road) passes under Interstate 93 beyond this reassurance marker. 10/06/14
The new northbound roadway was used temporarily for the southbound lanes while the original roadway was expanded. 10/06/14
A diamond interchange (Exit 2) joins Interstate 93 with Pelham Road in the town of Salem next. 10/06/14
The older ground level sign for Exit 2 was retained for temporary use during construction. Pelham Road becomes Main Street east to the Salem town center and NH 97. 10/06/14
Stiles Road and Policy Street both lead south from Pelham Road to NH 38 (Lowell Road), an north-south route stretching 8.7 miles from NH 28 in Salem to the state line and MA 28 at Dracut. 10/06/14
Exit 2 leaves Interstate 93 south for Pelham Road in Salem. Pelham Road meanders west to a series of leafy subdivisions. Main Street east becomes NH 97 beyond NH 28 (Broadway). NH 97 runs 2.56 miles east to become MA 97 east through Methuen and Haverhill. 10/06/14
Interstate 93 continues south another mile to a trumpet interchange (Exit 1) with Rockingham Park Boulevard east. 10/06/14
Variable speed limits are used along Interstate 93 from Manchester south to the Massachusetts state line. These were introduced with dynamic message signs as part of a $3.8 million Advanced Transportation Management project implemented in 2011.1 10/06/14
Rockingham Park Boulevard constitutes a multi-lane connector to NH 38 (Mall Boulevard) and NH 28 (Broadway) at Rockingham Park race track. 10/06/14
Methuen, Massachusetts represents the next southbound exit in four miles while Boston is now a half hour away during optimal traffic conditions. 10/06/14
NH 38 (Lowell Road) spans Interstate 93 just ahead of the off-ramp (Exit 1) to Rockingham Park Boulevard. NH 38 loops south around The Mall at Rockingham Park to join the boulevard east to its end at NH 28 (Broadway). 10/06/14
A ground level sign directs motorists away from Interstate 93 south at Exit 1. NH 28 remains east of Interstate 93 along a commercial boulevard south to Methuen, Massachusetts. The two routes come together again at Stoneham, Massachusetts. 10/06/14
Exit 48 to the Massachusetts 213 freeway east departs 0.4 miles south of the New Hampshire state line. MA 213 arcs east 3.56 miles through north Methuen from the directional T interchange with I-93 to Interstate 495. 10/06/14
