| Exit 69 carries drivers to U.S. 62 east and Georgetown. Georgetown has about 27,000 residents. The city's growth was ensured when Toyota built a plant on the east side of town, which manufactures the popular Camry model. | Westbound Interstate 64 at the Exit 58 diamond interchange with U.S. 60 (Versailles Road). At US 60, the interstate briefly sees the city of Frankfort beyond a Kohl's and other strip shopping, and several big-box hotels. Headed into town, the US highway is four lanes with a center turn lane and is dominated by sprawl. This exit also connects the interstate to Versailles, population 7500. | Missing its KY 151 shield at the time, Exit 48 connects Interstate 64 with U.S. 60 near Graefenburg. Graefenburg was founded by German settlers in the early 19th Century. Exit 48 lies within Kentucky's Bourbon Country, which is home to several distilleries including the Four Roses Distillery and Wild Turkey Distillery among others touted along the freeway. 11/12/04 |
