Interstate 70 travels across the north side of Denver between Arvada and Wheat Ridge. U.S. 6/85 accompany the freeway east to SH 2 (Colorado Boulevard) along an unsigned overlap.

Prior to 1957, Park Avenue was part of U.S. 87-287. U.S. 87 then followed Colorado Boulevard north and Colfax Avenue west to Park Avenue through Downtown Denver. U.S. 87 shifted onto the Valley Highway (I-25) north while U.S. 287 turned west on 38th Avenue to join Federal Boulevard north toward Broomfield.

Home of Major League Baseball's (MLB) Colorado Rockies, Coors Field lies south of the Park Avenue viaduct spanning the BNSF Railroad at 22nd and Blake Streets. Coors Field is named after the famous beer maker; the Coors family is well known throughout Colorado.

Interstate 25 U.S. 85 U.S. 87 South U.S. 6 West

Although unmarked, U.S. 6 west joins I-25/U.S. 85 south between Exits 214 and 209B with the 6th Avenue Freeway. U.S. 85, which previously met I-25 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, joins the route between I-70 and Exit 207B for Santa Fe Avenue.

Exit 213 to Park Avenue is the first and best route into Downtown Denver from southbound Interstate 25 for not only Coors Field but also the 16th Street Mall, Lower Downtown and the financial district.

Since converted to tolled Express Lanes, the original high occupancy roadway along Interstate 25 extended south from U.S. 36 (Denver-Boulder Turnpike) to the diamond interchange (Exit 212C) with 20th Street.

Broadway runs south between Overland Park and Rosedale into the city of Englewood. Historically U.S. 85 took Broadway north to 8th Avenue (U.S. 6). U.S. 6/85 combined from there to Brighton Boulevard, then turned east on 46th Avenue (now I-70).

Hampden Avenue west serves as the boundary between Arapahoe and Denver Counties between Dahlia Street and Wellshire Municipal Golf Course. U.S. 285 continues into the city of Englewood and becomes an expressway west of U.S. 85 (Santa Fe Drive) to Lakewood and C-470.

Starting in Texas, U.S. 285 heads north to Colorado via Roswell and Santa Fe, New Mexico. U.S. 285 concludes at the diamond interchange (Exit 201) with I-25, opposite SH 30 along Hampden Avenue. SH 30 turns north, then east to Gun Club Road, ending adjacent to E-470 in Aurora.
