The succeeding exit south of I-215 is the SPUI with SR 48 (7200 South) in Midvale. 08/10/16
A distributor roadway forms along the south side of I-15 from I-215 to SR 48. Construction in 1996 separated merging traffic from the mainline to eliminate weaving traffic between the Belt Route and forthcoming Exit 297. 08/10/16
The subsequent southbound exits beyond SR 48 serve the city of Sandy. Sandy is home to the Major League Soccer franchise of Real Salt Lake. The suburban community incorporated in 1893 and is the sixth largest city in the state. 08/10/16
The distributor roadway from I-215 accompanies I-15 south above TRAX light rail and Union Pacific Railroad lines to SR 48 (7200 South). This roadway extends onto I-15 south beyond Exit 297. 07/03/16
A slip ramp (Exit 297) departs from the southbound mainline to combine with the adjacent ramp from I-215 to SR 48 (7200 South). 08/10/16
SR 48 formerly traveled west to the Bingham Canyon Mine. Inventoried by UDOT in two sections, the southern branch runs 2.02 miles east from SR 154 (Bangerter Highway) to SR 68 (Redwood Road) in West Jordan. The northern branch extends 2.60 miles east from Redwood Road to U.S. 89 (State Street). 07/03/16
With auxiliary lanes and Express Lanes included, Interstate 15 accommodates a total of 13 lanes between SR 48 and SR 209. 07/03/16
Interstate 15 runs alongside the UP Railroad by this southbound confirming marker. 230,000 vehicles per day (vpd) were recorded on this stretch by UDOT in 2014. 08/25/14

SR 151 travels just 4.31 miles from the entrance to South Towne Center mall, west to a commercialized interchange with SR 154 (Bangerter Highway). 10600 South extends east from Exit 293 as a locally maintained five lane boulevard. 07/03/16

The SPUI with SR 175 opened to traffic east to 11400 South on September 20, 2010. SR 175 west was not completed for another four months. Work started on the $240 million project in 2008.1 07/03/16
The six southbound lanes along I-15 reach Exit 292 for SR 175 in one quarter mile. The SR 175 corridor was incorporated in the Draper, Sandy, West Jordan and South Jordan mass transit plan to improve connectivity between the respective cities.1 07/03/16

Interstate 15 enters the Draper city limits south of the 11400 South underpass. With the city motto of "The Spirit of the Past is the Strength of the Future," Draper sits at an elevation of 4,505 feet above sea level. The city doubled population from 2000 to 51,017 in the 2020 Census. 07/03/16
The succeeding I-15 Express Lanes egress point joins the general travel lanes in a half mile for Bangerter Highway (SR 154). 07/03/16
SR 71 is an arterial route that begins at SR 154 (Bangerter Highway) in Riverton and extends east to 700 East in Draper. SR 71 turns north on 700 East through Sandy, Midvale and Murray to SR 186 (400 South) in Salt Lake City. 07/16/17
U.S. 89 (State Street) lines the east side of Interstate 15 to SR 71, where it doglegs west to join the freeway south to Lehi. 07/16/17
Interstate 15 remains within the city of Draper over the ensuing 3.5 miles to 14600 South (SR 140). 07/16/17
Associated with The Point project, road work through Fall 2016 expanded Interstate 15 from ten to 13 overall lanes between Exits 291 and 289. Tolling on the Express Lanes was suspended during construction. 07/16/17
12300 South constitutes a commercial arterial east from SR 71 to Draper Parkway. West from Exit 291, the arterial initially serves an industrial park area before shifting southward across the Jordan River Parkway protected area into Riverton. 07/03/16

Steep Mountain rises to 6,158 feet above sea level along the southern horizon from I-15 at the Express Lanes egress point above SR 71 (12300 South). 07/16/17
Arrow per lane (APL) signs were added to I-15/U.S. 89 south for SR 154 (Bangerter Highway) during The Point project. SR 154 commences a 24.32 mile long course from Exit 289 west to Bluffdale and Riverton and north to Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC). 07/16/17
The second overlap for I-15/U.S. 89 south in Utah is 9.32 miles in length. 07/16/17
Bangerter Highway was constructed in stages between 1988 and 1998 as a controlled access arterial / expressway serving the western suburbs. The corridor was designated the West Valley Highway until 1993, when it was renamed after the 13th Governor of Utah. 07/16/17

The first of three exits within the city of Lehi along I-15/U.S. 89 south is the diverging diamond interchange with SR 92 (Timpanogos Highway). 07/16/17
Part of the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway, SR 92 travels 27.31 miles east from Ashton Boulevard in Lehi to Timpanogos Cave National Monument, Sundance ski resort and U.S. 189 in Provo Canyon. 07/16/17
A controlled access arterial, SR 92 along Timpanogos Highway connects I-15/U.S. 89 east with the cities of Alpine, Highland and Cedar Hills between Dry Creek and American Fork Canyon. 07/03/16
Club House Road extends west from the nearby end of SR 92 at Ashton Boulevard to the Thanksgiving Point along the Jordan River. Constructed in 2010/11, SR 92 east includes a separate grade separated roadway (Commuter Lane) between adjacent Digital Drive and Highland Boulevard. 07/16/17
Costing $415 million, the I-15 Technology Corridor Project underway from May 2018 to late 2020 expanded from SR 92 to Main Street in Lehi. Two lanes were added in each direction and Exit 282 for Triumph Boulevard was added southbound.2 07/16/17
U.S. 89 parts ways with Interstate 15 south at Exit 282 for adjacent N Thanksgiving Way to SR 194 (Mountain View Corridor). 07/16/17
The expanded roadway for I-15 south built during the I-15 Technology Corridor project was constructed over what was originally the northbound lanes. 07/16/17
SR 194 lines 2100 North, frontage roads for the future Mountain View Corridor (MVC) freeway link west from Exit 282 to SR 85. 07/16/17
Sign replacements made during the I-15 Technology Corridor Project replaced U.S. 89 and SR 85 with SR 194. SR 194 runs 3.06 miles west to SR 68 (Redwood Road) at SR 85 along Mountain View Corridor. 07/16/17
With the tolled Express Lanes, I-15 is 12 lanes wide through the exchange with SR 194 (2100 North) west and 1200 West. 07/16/17
Upon completion, the Mountain View Corridor (SR 85) will extend north from SR 73 in Saratoga Springs to Interstate 80 in Salt Lake City. A free flowing interchange with flyovers will be completed at I-15/SR 194. 07/03/16
SR 194 (2100 North) links with SR 85 south into the city of Saratoga Springs. The city of Eagle Mountain lies further west beyond the end of SR 85 along SR 73. A master planned community, Eagle Mountain incorporated December 3, 1996. The population increased from just 2,157 in 2000 to 43,623 in 2020. 07/16/17
U.S. 89 continues southeast along State Street, paralleling I-15 to the exchange with Main Street. Beyond Provo, U.S. 89 separates from the I-15 corridor along U.S. 6 from Spanish Fork. U.S. 89 generally proceeds south through central Utah, skirting the Grand Canyon and ending at I-40 in Flagstaff, Arizona. 07/16/17
