The arrival the Walt Disney Corporation to the Orlando area commenced with construction in 1967. Four years later, one of the most popular theme parks on the planet Disney World, opened to visitors. The prosperity of the Walt Disney Corporation coupled with the warm climate continues growth and suburban expansion throughout the Orlando metro area today.
