Classified as a minor arterial, Bearss Avenue curves southeast 1.88 miles east to Bruce B. Downs Boulevard (CR 581) near New Tampa. Extending west to Lake Magdalene, Bearss Avenue continues 2.87 miles from U.S. 41 Business (Florida Avenue) to SR 597 (Dale Mabry Highway) at Ehrlich Road between the Carrollwood and Northdale communities. Ehrlich Road runs 4.08 miles west to CR 587 (Gunn Highway) at Citrus Park.
