County Road 52 follows the former alignment of State Road 52 northeast across the city of San Antonio, town of St. Leo and the Pasco County seat of Dade City. Measuring 8.7 miles in length, CR 52 encircles the San Antonio street grid from CR 577 (Curley Street) to College Avenue before turning east to Saint Leo University and onto 21st Street in west Dade City. CR 52 follows Meridan Avenue east through Downtown Dade City to U.S. 98/301.

A separate section of CR 52 extends a half mile west from SR 52 at U.S. 19 in Bayonet Point to the Werner-Boyce Salt Springs State Park Black Rail Trail Head. This local road is named County Road 52, but not shielded.

County Road 52 East
CR 577 (Curley Street) intersects CR 52 four blocks south of San Antonio City Hall. Following Curley Road south toward Wesley Chapel, CR 577 connects with CR 579 Alternate (Prospect Road) east to CR 579 (Handcart Road) south to Zephyrhills. 08/13/18
