Somewhat counter-intuitively, the first ramp (Exit 58A) from eastbound Interstate 10 connects to northbound Interstate 15 to Victorville, Barstow, and Las Vegas. The second ramp (Exit 58B) connects to southbound Interstate 15. Note that the control cities for Interstate 10 east are San Bernardino and for Indio. It is somewhat surprising that the pull-through sign for Interstate 10 omits Palm Springs, but that may be because that city is not located on Interstate 10 itself. The stack interchange is visible in the distance. Photo taken 03/25/05. |
|
Immediately thereafter is Exit 58B, the ramp from eastbound Interstate 10 to southbound Interstate 15. This nearly (but not quite) symmetrical stack interchange permits high-speed movements in all directions. Photo taken 03/25/05. |
